Overview

AZAR is seeking a tech-savvy and detail-oriented WordPress Development Intern to join our remote team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in building, maintaining, and optimizing websites for various businesses in the Saudi market. You will work on real-world projects involving e-commerce, landing pages, and corporate sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building and customizing WordPress websites using page builders (Elementor, WPBakery, etc.).
• Support the maintenance of existing sites, including theme and plugin updates.
• Help optimize website performance (speed, SEO-friendly URL structures).
• Assist in integrating WooCommerce features and configuring payment/shipping plugins.
• Troubleshoot and fix minor CSS/HTML issues to improve site aesthetics and responsiveness.
• Collaborate with the design team to ensure high-fidelity implementation of UI/UX designs.

Skills & Technologies

• Core Skills: Basic knowledge of WordPress, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Tools: Familiarity with page builders like Elementor and managing the WordPress dashboard.
• E-commerce: Understanding of WooCommerce basics and plugin functionality.
• Problem Solving: Ability to research and resolve technical bugs or layout issues.
• PHP/MySQL: (Bonus) Basic understanding of PHP and database management.

Job Requirements

• A few samples of websites you’ve worked on or a link to your personal project/GitHub.
• Familiarity with web hosting environments and CPanel/FTP basics.
• A strong desire to learn modern web development standards and SEO best practices.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote setup.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow technical documentation.
